I found these pictures on my Dropbox and thought there were perfect for a style story. These images really represent how I dress for the office on a lazy day (but a jumpsuit is also fine). When I’m wearing black it means I don’t want to think about dressing in the morning. A situation that happens way too much. Black is a colour I love because it is great to attract the attention on something. It can be a piece of jewellery, a pattern, a print, a colour or a texture. Like a white canvas for a painter, black acts like a base for most of my outfits.
In this look, I definitely wanted to attract the attention on the prints hence the combination you see above. This is something I enjoy doing a lot. Wearing prints looking similar and yet different. I remember buying that jacket because I loved the print. It is like a minimalistic version of the Scottish tartan, don’t you think? I like the idea of having white as a base and different shades of black lines to contrast with the severe checks of the pants. It’s the perfect contrast in my opinion! Last but not least is the touch of red of my earrings just for a little bit of colour because I couldn’t help it!
What do you use black for when you dress?
